OUR PROGRAMS

The PDWA focuses on building the capacity of its members and affiliated groups to implements its development programs. The training programs are:

Education & Training

  • Adult literacy and vocational training for women and out-of-school youths.

  • Distance education scholarships for school dropouts.

  • Leadership and skills training for Guides and Scouts.

Agricultrure & Livelihood

  • Terrace gardening, composting, and commercial vegetable farming.

  • Livestock husbandry (poultry, goats, pigs, fish).

  • Distribution of seeds, feed, and farming tools.

  • Agricultural extension support with PJV technical assistance.

Life Skills Development

  • Training in financial management, bookkeeping, sewing, baking, and nutrition.

  • Empowering women with practical skills for self-employment.

After Training

Health and HIV/AIDS Awareness

  • Health awareness and hygiene programs.

  • HIV/AIDS prevention education in partnership with PJV Medical Team and local health centres.

Law and Order Advocacy

  • Programs addressing domestic violence, gender equality, and rights awareness.
    Promotion of peaceful and respectful community relationships.

Microfinance and Enterprise Development

  • PDWA plans to establish a Microfinance Institution to provide accessible financial services for women and small-income earners.

  • Current microcredit programs continue to support members in small business ventures.
